This is necessary if you are using under gravel filter. However if powerful biological filter is use, these are unnecessary. * An air pump or water pump. * Fine gravel or coarse sand. * Solids stand. * Rocks driftwood for decoration and the security of the fish. * A scraper to clean algae off the glass. * A soft net. * A good thermometer.
